August 8: The International Women’s Trade Fair is all set to kick off at the Heritage Garden in Sanepa, Kathmandu on August 18. The four-day event will conclude on August 22.
The trade fair is going to be organized by the Federation of Women Entrepreneurs’ Association of Nepal (FWEAN).
FWEAN held a press conference on Sunday, August 7 and informed that women entrepreneurs associated with small and medium-scale industries all over the country, traders, and women exporters as well as women entrepreneurs from international countries will participate in the fair.
According to the federation, such a fair is being organized for the social and economic empowerment of women. This fair is the sixth edition of the International Women's Trade Fair, which will be inaugurated by Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba.
According to the organizers, the marketing of the products produced using local tools and resources in Nepal will get exposure to national and international levels through this fair.
In addition, certificates of excellence in various categories will be awarded as incentives to women entrepreneurs participating in the fair from various districts.
The federation is also scheduled to organize a one-day conference on August 19 titled 'Building a Sustainable Business to Empower Women'.
