'content' => '<p><span style="font-size:11pt"><span style="font-family:Calibri,"sans-serif""><span style="font-family:"Arial Unicode MS","sans-serif"">June 22: The Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN) has made it clear that the forceful act of the airlines companies to suspend domestic flights from Wednesday is not acceptable. </span><br />
<span style="font-family:"Arial Unicode MS","sans-serif"">Organizing a news conference on Tuesday, CAAN urged the airlines companies not to suspend the flights stating that its prior decisions were taken to lessen the existing pressure on Tribhuvan International Airport and for the strengthening of the aviation safety. </span><br />
<span style="font-family:"Arial Unicode MS","sans-serif"">Director General of CAAN Pradip Adhikari said the airlines companies are against its decision to shy away from their responsibility. He urged them to be responsible towards public service. </span><br />
<span style="font-family:"Arial Unicode MS","sans-serif"">“The airline companies should be responsible in sensitive issue like aviation service. CAAN will not remain mute if people suffered from the strike,” Director General Adhikari added. </span><br />
<span style="font-family:"Arial Unicode MS","sans-serif"">Earlier, the Airlines Operators Association of Nepal (AOAN) had warned to suspend all emergency and scheduled flights from Wednesday if CAAN was not ready to revoke its 'controversial' decision. </span><br />
<span style="font-family:"Arial Unicode MS","sans-serif"">However, standing firm on its ground, CAAN's Director General Adhikari insisted the airline companies should go to the particular sites for their night-stop where the airline companies received approval for their base during the time of acquiring Air Operator Certificate (AOC). </span><br />
<span style="font-family:"Arial Unicode MS","sans-serif""> Earlier, the CAAN had decided to shift the parking base of helicopters and aircraft from Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) to outside the Kathmandu Valley. </span></span></span></p>
