<p><span style="font-size:11pt"><span style="font-family:Calibri,"sans-serif"">They said that although the provisions related to energy sector in the budget are praiseworthy, they are not adequate. Chairman of the National Hydropower Company Kumar Pandey says that the budget did not address their major concerns. </span></span></p>
<p><span style="font-size:11pt"><span style="font-family:Calibri,"sans-serif"">“Whatever arrangements have been made for the energy sector, they are commendable. However, the budget has not addressed the issue of major problems faced by the energy sector,” said Pandey, adding, “The energy sector has been badly affected due to the rise in interest rate and inflation. The government did not announce any policy to address this issue. Overall, the government seems to be less interested in energy sector.”</span></span></p>
