<span style="font-family:"Arial Unicode MS","sans-serif"">According to the Search and Rescue Coordination Center of the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN), the plane that had left Pokhara for Jomsom at 9:55 am had lost contact with the Jomsom Tower at 10:07. The plane had last reported from Ghodepani. </span><br />
<span style="font-family:"Arial Unicode MS","sans-serif"">According to the center, a helicopter of Fishtail Air was sent to the site for the search operation but the effort was aborted due to adverse weather, which forced the chopper to fly back to Jomsom. </span><br />
<span style="font-family:"Arial Unicode MS","sans-serif"">The centre informed that helicopters are on standby in Kathmandu, Pokhara and Jomsom airports for the search efforts and the aerial search for the plane will be resumed once the weather permits. </span><br />
