<p><span style="font-size:11pt"><span style="font-family:Calibri,"sans-serif""><span style="font-family:"Arial Unicode MS","sans-serif"">Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of IBN Sushil Bhatta and UNDP's Resident Representative for Nepal Ayshanie Medagangoda-Labé signed the agreement amid a function in the capital. </span></span></span></p>
<p><span style="font-size:11pt"><span style="font-family:Calibri,"sans-serif""><span style="font-family:"Arial Unicode MS","sans-serif"">The IBN said the MoU is expected to help in institutional capacity building, promotion of private investment and public private partnership. The MoU also includes the issues of social and environmental impact assessment on project development, project development agreement and project investment agreement, among others. Likewise, cooperation on development of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to effectively run the services of IBN are also included in the MoU. </span></span></span></p>
<p><span style="font-size:11pt"><span style="font-family:Calibri,"sans-serif""><span style="font-family:"Arial Unicode MS","sans-serif"">Speaking at the MoU signing ceremony at the board’s office, CEO Bhatta said that the agreement would help in investment promotion in Nepal. Bhatta added the MoU has given a new ray of hope on investment promotion in Nepal. He stressed the need for exchange of cooperation on capacity building of IBN and risk reduction of the investors. </span></span></span></p>
