The corporation has stated that an electronic payment system is being implemented to make the sale and distribution of fuel from the stations transparent.</span></span></p>
<p><span style="font-size:18px"><span style="font-family:"Times New Roman","serif"">Issuing a statement, the NOC has said that all ordinary fuel stations located 2 kilometers within the Indian border will be provided with electronic payment system within a month for selling and distributing petroleum products.</span></span></p>
<p><span style="font-size:18px"><span style="font-family:"Times New Roman","serif"">The NOC has also instructed the concerned bodies to make arrangements to send the progress report to the center every month.</span></span></p>
<p><span style="font-size:18px"><span style="font-family:"Times New Roman","serif"">Nepal Oil Corporation has been running at loss since the price of crude oil reached its peak in the international market. According to the NOC, about 1,600 fuel stations are in operation across the country. Among them, about 60 percent are in the Terai districts.</span></span></p>
