On the occasion Minister Karki said that poet Ghimire took Nepal’s national glory to a new height. </span></span></p>

<p><span style="font-size:18px"><span style="font-family:Calibri,"sans-serif"">Born in Lamjung on September 23, 1919, poet Ghimire had died at the age of 101 on August 18, 2020. Ghimire is known as the poet representing the trend of romanticism. Ghimire was conferred the title of ‘Rastrakavi’ 18 years ago.</span></span></p>
<p><span style="font-size:18px"><span style="font-family:Calibri,"sans-serif"">He was born during the Rana regime, when people were banned from writing poems. It was during those days that he wrote some revolutionary and inspirational poems like Nava Yubak, a youth who has the power to change the society.</span></span></p>
<p><span style="font-size:18px"><span style="font-family:Calibri,"sans-serif"">He once said in an interview that it is quite strange that the Rana regime had banned them from writing in a free manner but interestingly great poets were born during that very period. <p><span style="font-size:18px"><span style="font-family:Calibri,"sans-serif"">Minister for Communications and Information Technology, Gyanendra Bahadur Karki, unveiled the new tickets in honour of the late poet on Wednesday, December 8. On the occasion Minister Karki said that poet Ghimire took Nepal’s national glory to a new height. </span></span></p>
<p><span style="font-size:18px"><span style="font-family:Calibri,"sans-serif"">Born in Lamjung on September 23, 1919, poet Ghimire had died at the age of 101 on August 18, 2020. Ghimire is known as the poet representing the trend of romanticism. Ghimire was conferred the title of ‘Rastrakavi’ 18 years ago.</span></span></p>
<p><span style="font-size:18px"><span style="font-family:Calibri,"sans-serif"">He was born during the Rana regime, when people were banned from writing poems. It was during those days that he wrote some revolutionary and inspirational poems like Nava Yubak, a youth who has the power to change the society.</span></span></p>
<p><span style="font-size:18px"><span style="font-family:Calibri,"sans-serif"">He once said in an interview that it is quite strange that the Rana regime had banned them from writing in a free manner but interestingly great poets were born during that very period.
