<p><span style="font-size:11pt"><span style="font-family:Calibri"><span style="font-size:14.0pt">In a meeting organised by the Central Revenue Leakage Control Committee, Finance Minister Poudel said that the government will maintain zero tolerance against revenue leakage. </span></span></span></p>
<p><span style="font-size:11pt"><span style="font-family:Calibri"><span style="font-size:14.0pt">He has urged all the security agencies to be mindful so that no innocent is punished for revenue fraud. He also directed the concerned departments and security agencies to collaborate in this regard.</span></span></span></p>
<p><span style="font-size:11pt"><span style="font-family:Calibri"><span style="font-size:14.0pt">Finance Secretary Shishir Kumar Dhungana said communication exchange is necessary between the government departments and security agencies.</span></span></span></p>
<p><span style="font-size:11pt"><span style="font-family:Calibri"><span style="font-size:14.0pt">Revenue Secretary Ram Sharan Pudasaini said policy-level and systematic reforms are required to control revenue leakage. Increase in economic activities pose higher risk of revenue leakage, according to Pudasaini. </span></span></span></p>
<p><span style="font-size:11pt"><span style="font-family:Calibri"><span style="font-size:14.0pt">Inspector General of Police (IGP) Sailesh Thapa expressed commitment to provide all support to control revenue leakage. Similarly, IGP of Armed Police Force Sailendra Khanal highlighted the need of regular monitoring. </span></span></span></p>
<p><span style="font-size:11pt"><span style="font-family:Calibri"><span style="font-size:14.0pt">Head of the Revenue Management Division Rameshwor Dangal said concerned authorities are working to control revenue leakage and the guilty are being punished.</span></span></span></p>
<p><span style="font-size:11pt"><span style="font-family:Calibri"><span style="font-size:14.0pt">Director General of the Department of Money Laundering Investigation Gajendra Thakur said district level revenue leakage control committee need to be made effective.</span></span></span></p>
