The Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority had identified 906 contract defaults under the department in its 'Study Management and Analysis Report of Contract Defaults 2075 BS made public two years ago.<br />
Although the number of contracts terminated is less, the department has improved settling the issues with the defaulting contractors. As per the first quarterly report of the department in the current fiscal year (FY) 2077/78, the number of contracts that have been resolved is 491 while the number of contract termination is 210.<br />
The report states that the number of issues settled is 98, and the number of projects handed over to the state and local levels is 170.<br />
The internal study of the Department of Roads shows that the number of projects that had their contract extended after the fiscal year 2066-67 is 1397. </span></span></span></span></p>
