<p><span style="font-size:11pt"><span style="font-family:Calibri"><span style="font-size:14.0pt"><span style="font-family:"Times New Roman"">Chief Executive Officer of the Upper Tamakoshi Hydropower Project, Bigyan Prasad Shrestha said that it is not possible to set a date for the test. Project spokesperson Dr Ganesh Neupane said that the project is urging the suppliers to bring expansion joints and disposable boxes from Kolkata. </span></span></span></span></p>
<p><span style="font-size:11pt"><span style="font-family:Calibri"><span style="font-size:14.0pt"><span style="font-family:"Times New Roman"">Neupane further said that if the expansion joints and disposable boxes and other necessary equipment are transported, the project's desender, tunnel and other structures can be tested from mid-February. He said that it is possible to fix the date for power generation test only after testing the tunnel and penstock of the project. </span></span></span></span></p>
<p><span style="font-size:11pt"><span style="font-family:Calibri"><span style="font-size:14.0pt"><span style="font-family:"Times New Roman"">Meanwhile<strong>, </strong>the tower at Putung of Kalinchok Rural Municipality that was constructed for the transmission of electricity generated from the project has been damaged. The project claims that the tower was damaged due to the structure of the land. According to the project office, experts are studying on where to reconstruct the tower. Spokesperson Neupane said that the construction of the tower will be started after receiving suggestions from the experts. </span></span></span></span></p>

However, Neupane claims that even though the tower has not been constructed, a short-term alternative has been sought for the transmission of electricity generated from the Upper Tamakoshi Hydropower Project. </span></span></span></span></p>
