May 23: Motorcycle assembling plant of Jagadamba Motors, the authorised distributor of TVS motorcycles and scooters in Nepal, is in the final stage of completion. The company has been constructing the plant in Simara of Bara district since the last eight months.
Deepak Agrawal, vice president of Jagadamba Motors, said that the company has ordered all the machineries required for the plant.
“We will assemble motorcycles here in Nepal within five months,” said Agrawal.
The company informed New Business Age that it will start assembling motorcycles of Apache brand in the initial phase. Agrawal further said that the company plans to assemble all other brands of TVS bikes in Nepal later on.
The plant built with an investment of Rs 1 billion will have the capacity to assemble 400 motorcycles in a day. However, the company said it will assemble motorbikes as per the market demand.
