May 13: Nepal Investment Bank Limited (NIBL) has expanded its branch network with the operation of a new branch in Dewangunj of Sunsari district. According to NIBL, the new branch is the 80th branch of the bank.
The bank expects this branch to facilitate around 50,000 locals of Dewangunj Rural Municipality and its surrounding areas. The bank said in a statement that it will soon operate ATM service at the branch.
Vice-chairperson of Dewangunj, Punita Devi Yadav, inaugurated the branch amid a function recently, said the bank.
The bank further said that it opened the new branch in Province 1 as per its policy of giving continuity to its financial literacy campaign.
The bank said it has 24 branches in the Kathmandu Valley and 56 in the rest of the country. NIBL has been providing banking services with its network of 80 branches, 112 ATMS, 13 extension counters, 10 revenue collection counters and 51 branchless banking units across the country.
