Following the destruction, China had press for operating Kerung-Rasuwagadi route for trade with Nepal. However, the Government of Nepal and the locals of Tatopani have been urging China to reopen the Tatopani route because it has all the necessary infrastructures including a two-lane road and is 60 km shorter than the Kerung-Rasuwagadi route.</div>
