<p>The central bank dismissed rumours that all the amount of the bank was stolen and said that there are chances of retrieving the money.</p>

<p>Rajendra Pandit, deputy spokesperson at NRB, said that the recent transactions of NIC Asia Bank with six banks of different countries were unauthorized and the subject matter is being studied.&nbsp;</p>

<p>NRB also dismissed rumours that six other banks of Nepal are facing the problem in their SWIFT system.</p>

<p>&ldquo;In course of investigation, we held consultations with heads of the information departments of all the banks and gave suggestions to them to further bolster their security,&rdquo; Pandit told New Business Age, adding, &ldquo;The problem has been detected in NIC Asia only and the reasons behind it are still unconfirmed.&rdquo;</p>

<p>The NRB said it will be clear whether the SWIFT system was hacked or there was some malfunction in the system only after the investigation.</p>

<p>A team led by NRB Governor Dr Chiranjivi Nepal &nbsp;consisting of deputy governors discussed the subject with SWIFT country chief for Nepal on Monday, October 23.</p>

<p>Experts downplayed the issue saying that the problem was detected only in some transactions and not in the whole system. Pandit said that the situation is not that bad as there are chances that the money transferred can be retrieved. &ldquo;This is a problem seen in the system and even if someone has hacked it, the amount will still be in the bank. So, the probability of retrieving the money is still there,&rdquo; he added.</p>

<p>Gyanendra Prasad Dhungana, vice president of Nepal Bankers&rsquo; Association (NBA,) asked all the bankers to be aware about such problems.</p>

<p>&ldquo;The chance of SWIFT system to be hacked is very less so someone with bad intentions must have done the deed,&rdquo; he further added, &ldquo;We have received information that the stolen money has started to be retrieved.&rdquo;</p>

<p>NIC Asia stated that though the company had suspected its transactions being hacked, the truth is yet to be unfolded. NIC Asia has requested NRB to investigate &nbsp;the transactions with six banks through Financial Information Unit (FIU).</p>

A joint bench of justices Om Prakash Mishra and Dambar Bahadur Shahi issued the stay order on Sunday, October 22 until the court gives the final verdict on the issue.</p>

<p>Shrestha had sold 20 percent of Ncell shares to Bhavana Shrestha. Shrestha claimed that he had made a profit of Rs 11.32 billion from the sale and had paid Rs 2.83 billion as tax.</p>

<p>However, the Auditor General&rsquo;s Office had said that there was discrepancy in the payment of tax by Shrestha as compared to the tax of the remaining 80 percent of Ncell shares and had demanded an additional Rs 6.15 billion as tax.</p>

<p>As per the claims made by the Auditor General&rsquo;s Office, the Large Taxpayers&rsquo; Office had initiated the process to collect tax from Shrestha. The office had sent a letter to Shrestha in the first week of September regarding this issue.</p>

<p>Upon receiving the letter, Shrestha filed a writ petition at the Supreme Court arguing that he had already paid his taxes and was not liable to pay anymore amount.</p>

<p>Lawyers representing Shrestha argued that the Large Taxpayers&rsquo; Office has been bothering their client even after he had already cleared the tax.</p>

<p>In April-May 2016, Swedish company Telia Sonera had sold 80 percent of Ncell&rsquo;s shares to Malaysian company Axiata for Rs 144 billion. At that time, the capital gains tax from 80 percent of shares of Ncell was said to be Rs 61 billion. Shrestha had also sold 20 percent of his shares at the same time.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Locals of six wards of Paiyu Rural Municipality had been at the receiving end because of the unavailability of banks in their areas. &ldquo;To receive an amount of Rs 20,000, we had to spend Rs 8,000 to Rs 10,000 while travelling to and from Kusma,&rdquo; she told New Business Age, adding, &ldquo;Now that the banks have opened in our area, it has become easier for us.&rdquo;</p>

<p>It is hard for people who have children and who work at home to travel long distance. It has become easier for home makers now.</p>

<p>Banks operating in the area have been providing services like business loan, payment of project money and salary of government officials. Huwas is known as the third largest business hub of Parbat. Local traders say it has become easier for them after the banks have started giving out loans to business entrepreneurs.&nbsp; &nbsp;</p>

<p>&ldquo;We can now get loan for business and also save our money in banks,&rdquo; said Humnath Kafle, a local business entrepreneur.</p>

<p>According to Subash Thapa, manager of Gandaki Bank&rsquo;s, Huwas branch, 10 to 30 people come for remittance on a daily basis. He said people who used to suffer because of unavailability of banking services are happy after getting the service in their areas.</p>

<p>Khagendra Prasad Tiwari, chairman of Paiyu Rural Municipality said that the Consumers&rsquo; Committee does not have to go to the district headquarters for payment of small projects anymore.</p>

<p>&ldquo;Though there is a rule that states that there should be a bank in every rural municipality, we have three banks in our rural municipality. It has become much more convenient for us now,&rdquo; he said.</p>

<p>Kumar Kasaju Shrestha, president of FAN, said that the flowers were imported for Tihar as the required quantity could not be produced within the country.</p>

<p>&ldquo;Last year, only 200,000 garlands were imported. However, the import has increased this year as the demand for marigold garland is high,&rdquo; he said.</p>

<p>FAN informed that despite the increase in import, the price is cheap this year. Last year, around &nbsp;200,000 garlands worth Rs 15 million had been imported from India.</p>

<p>Nepal imports flowers from India during other times of the year as well. Different flowers and garlands worth Rs 100 million are imported from India annually, according to Shrestha.</p>

<p>The inability to produce flowers in Nepal as per the demand is the reason why Nepal imports flowers of such huge quantity every year. &ldquo;Local floriculturists produce flowers all the year round,&rdquo; Shrestha told New Business Age, adding, &ldquo;But the consumption is very less in other times except during festivals like Tihar.&rdquo;</p>

<p>Fearing loss during off-season, they produce less quantity of flowers. He said very few garlands are consumed in normal days.</p>

<p>The demand for flowers has gone up by 36.36 percent in comparison to last year, FAN stated.</p>

<p>There is a demand for 100,000 pieces of chrysanthemum, 300,000 globe amaranth and 1.1 million marigold in the market for Tihar festival. According to FAN, though the country is self-sufficient in chrysanthemum and globe amaranth flowers, marigold has to be imported from India. &nbsp;</p>

<p>The central bank dismissed rumours that all the amount of the bank was stolen and said that there are chances of retrieving the money.</p>

<p>Rajendra Pandit, deputy spokesperson at NRB, said that the recent transactions of NIC Asia Bank with six banks of different countries were unauthorized and the subject matter is being studied.&nbsp;</p>

<p>NRB also dismissed rumours that six other banks of Nepal are facing the problem in their SWIFT system.</p>

<p>&ldquo;In course of investigation, we held consultations with heads of the information departments of all the banks and gave suggestions to them to further bolster their security,&rdquo; Pandit told New Business Age, adding, &ldquo;The problem has been detected in NIC Asia only and the reasons behind it are still unconfirmed.&rdquo;</p>

<p>The NRB said it will be clear whether the SWIFT system was hacked or there was some malfunction in the system only after the investigation.</p>

<p>A team led by NRB Governor Dr Chiranjivi Nepal &nbsp;consisting of deputy governors discussed the subject with SWIFT country chief for Nepal on Monday, October 23.</p>

<p>Experts downplayed the issue saying that the problem was detected only in some transactions and not in the whole system. Pandit said that the situation is not that bad as there are chances that the money transferred can be retrieved. &ldquo;This is a problem seen in the system and even if someone has hacked it, the amount will still be in the bank. So, the probability of retrieving the money is still there,&rdquo; he added.</p>

<p>Gyanendra Prasad Dhungana, vice president of Nepal Bankers&rsquo; Association (NBA,) asked all the bankers to be aware about such problems.</p>

<p>&ldquo;The chance of SWIFT system to be hacked is very less so someone with bad intentions must have done the deed,&rdquo; he further added, &ldquo;We have received information that the stolen money has started to be retrieved.&rdquo;</p>

<p>NIC Asia stated that though the company had suspected its transactions being hacked, the truth is yet to be unfolded. NIC Asia has requested NRB to investigate &nbsp;the transactions with six banks through Financial Information Unit (FIU).</p>

A joint bench of justices Om Prakash Mishra and Dambar Bahadur Shahi issued the stay order on Sunday, October 22 until the court gives the final verdict on the issue.</p>

<p>Shrestha had sold 20 percent of Ncell shares to Bhavana Shrestha. Shrestha claimed that he had made a profit of Rs 11.32 billion from the sale and had paid Rs 2.83 billion as tax.</p>

<p>However, the Auditor General&rsquo;s Office had said that there was discrepancy in the payment of tax by Shrestha as compared to the tax of the remaining 80 percent of Ncell shares and had demanded an additional Rs 6.15 billion as tax.</p>

<p>As per the claims made by the Auditor General&rsquo;s Office, the Large Taxpayers&rsquo; Office had initiated the process to collect tax from Shrestha. The office had sent a letter to Shrestha in the first week of September regarding this issue.</p>

<p>Upon receiving the letter, Shrestha filed a writ petition at the Supreme Court arguing that he had already paid his taxes and was not liable to pay anymore amount.</p>

<p>Lawyers representing Shrestha argued that the Large Taxpayers&rsquo; Office has been bothering their client even after he had already cleared the tax.</p>

<p>In April-May 2016, Swedish company Telia Sonera had sold 80 percent of Ncell&rsquo;s shares to Malaysian company Axiata for Rs 144 billion. At that time, the capital gains tax from 80 percent of shares of Ncell was said to be Rs 61 billion. Shrestha had also sold 20 percent of his shares at the same time.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Banks operating in the area have been providing services like business loan, payment of project money and salary of government officials. Huwas is known as the third largest business hub of Parbat. Local traders say it has become easier for them after the banks have started giving out loans to business entrepreneurs.&nbsp; &nbsp;</p>

<p>&ldquo;We can now get loan for business and also save our money in banks,&rdquo; said Humnath Kafle, a local business entrepreneur.</p>

<p>According to Subash Thapa, manager of Gandaki Bank&rsquo;s, Huwas branch, 10 to 30 people come for remittance on a daily basis. He said people who used to suffer because of unavailability of banking services are happy after getting the service in their areas.</p>

<p>Khagendra Prasad Tiwari, chairman of Paiyu Rural Municipality said that the Consumers&rsquo; Committee does not have to go to the district headquarters for payment of small projects anymore.</p>

<p>&ldquo;Though there is a rule that states that there should be a bank in every rural municipality, we have three banks in our rural municipality. It has become much more convenient for us now,&rdquo; he said.</p>

<p>Kumar Kasaju Shrestha, president of FAN, said that the flowers were imported for Tihar as the required quantity could not be produced within the country.</p>

<p>&ldquo;Last year, only 200,000 garlands were imported. However, the import has increased this year as the demand for marigold garland is high,&rdquo; he said.</p>

<p>FAN informed that despite the increase in import, the price is cheap this year. Last year, around &nbsp;200,000 garlands worth Rs 15 million had been imported from India.</p>

<p>Nepal imports flowers from India during other times of the year as well. Different flowers and garlands worth Rs 100 million are imported from India annually, according to Shrestha.</p>

<p>The inability to produce flowers in Nepal as per the demand is the reason why Nepal imports flowers of such huge quantity every year. &ldquo;Local floriculturists produce flowers all the year round,&rdquo; Shrestha told New Business Age, adding, &ldquo;But the consumption is very less in other times except during festivals like Tihar.&rdquo;</p>

<p>Fearing loss during off-season, they produce less quantity of flowers. He said very few garlands are consumed in normal days.</p>

<p>The demand for flowers has gone up by 36.36 percent in comparison to last year, FAN stated.</p>

<p>There is a demand for 100,000 pieces of chrysanthemum, 300,000 globe amaranth and 1.1 million marigold in the market for Tihar festival. According to FAN, though the country is self-sufficient in chrysanthemum and globe amaranth flowers, marigold has to be imported from India. &nbsp;</p>

<p>The central bank dismissed rumours that all the amount of the bank was stolen and said that there are chances of retrieving the money.</p>

<p>Rajendra Pandit, deputy spokesperson at NRB, said that the recent transactions of NIC Asia Bank with six banks of different countries were unauthorized and the subject matter is being studied.&nbsp;</p>

<p>NRB also dismissed rumours that six other banks of Nepal are facing the problem in their SWIFT system.</p>

<p>&ldquo;In course of investigation, we held consultations with heads of the information departments of all the banks and gave suggestions to them to further bolster their security,&rdquo; Pandit told New Business Age, adding, &ldquo;The problem has been detected in NIC Asia only and the reasons behind it are still unconfirmed.&rdquo;</p>

<p>The NRB said it will be clear whether the SWIFT system was hacked or there was some malfunction in the system only after the investigation.</p>

<p>A team led by NRB Governor Dr Chiranjivi Nepal &nbsp;consisting of deputy governors discussed the subject with SWIFT country chief for Nepal on Monday, October 23.</p>

<p>Experts downplayed the issue saying that the problem was detected only in some transactions and not in the whole system. Pandit said that the situation is not that bad as there are chances that the money transferred can be retrieved. &ldquo;This is a problem seen in the system and even if someone has hacked it, the amount will still be in the bank. So, the probability of retrieving the money is still there,&rdquo; he added.</p>

<p>Gyanendra Prasad Dhungana, vice president of Nepal Bankers&rsquo; Association (NBA,) asked all the bankers to be aware about such problems.</p>

<p>&ldquo;The chance of SWIFT system to be hacked is very less so someone with bad intentions must have done the deed,&rdquo; he further added, &ldquo;We have received information that the stolen money has started to be retrieved.&rdquo;</p>

<p>NIC Asia stated that though the company had suspected its transactions being hacked, the truth is yet to be unfolded. NIC Asia has requested NRB to investigate &nbsp;the transactions with six banks through Financial Information Unit (FIU).</p>

A joint bench of justices Om Prakash Mishra and Dambar Bahadur Shahi issued the stay order on Sunday, October 22 until the court gives the final verdict on the issue.</p>

<p>Shrestha had sold 20 percent of Ncell shares to Bhavana Shrestha. Shrestha claimed that he had made a profit of Rs 11.32 billion from the sale and had paid Rs 2.83 billion as tax.</p>

<p>However, the Auditor General&rsquo;s Office had said that there was discrepancy in the payment of tax by Shrestha as compared to the tax of the remaining 80 percent of Ncell shares and had demanded an additional Rs 6.15 billion as tax.</p>

<p>As per the claims made by the Auditor General&rsquo;s Office, the Large Taxpayers&rsquo; Office had initiated the process to collect tax from Shrestha. The office had sent a letter to Shrestha in the first week of September regarding this issue.</p>

<p>Upon receiving the letter, Shrestha filed a writ petition at the Supreme Court arguing that he had already paid his taxes and was not liable to pay anymore amount.</p>

<p>Lawyers representing Shrestha argued that the Large Taxpayers&rsquo; Office has been bothering their client even after he had already cleared the tax.</p>

<p>After the establishment of banks in their areas, they do not have to go to market places to receive money sent from abroad, she said. Her husband is in foreign employment. Earlier, she had to travel to Waling for hours to receive the money sent by her husband.</p>

<p>Locals of six wards of Paiyu Rural Municipality had been at the receiving end because of the unavailability of banks in their areas. &ldquo;To receive an amount of Rs 20,000, we had to spend Rs 8,000 to Rs 10,000 while travelling to and from Kusma,&rdquo; she told New Business Age, adding, &ldquo;Now that the banks have opened in our area, it has become easier for us.&rdquo;</p>

<p>It is hard for people who have children and who work at home to travel long distance. It has become easier for home makers now.</p>

<p>Banks operating in the area have been providing services like business loan, payment of project money and salary of government officials. Huwas is known as the third largest business hub of Parbat. Local traders say it has become easier for them after the banks have started giving out loans to business entrepreneurs.&nbsp; &nbsp;</p>

<p>&ldquo;We can now get loan for business and also save our money in banks,&rdquo; said Humnath Kafle, a local business entrepreneur.</p>

<p>According to Subash Thapa, manager of Gandaki Bank&rsquo;s, Huwas branch, 10 to 30 people come for remittance on a daily basis. He said people who used to suffer because of unavailability of banking services are happy after getting the service in their areas.</p>

<p>Khagendra Prasad Tiwari, chairman of Paiyu Rural Municipality said that the Consumers&rsquo; Committee does not have to go to the district headquarters for payment of small projects anymore.</p>

<p>&ldquo;Though there is a rule that states that there should be a bank in every rural municipality, we have three banks in our rural municipality. It has become much more convenient for us now,&rdquo; he said.</p>

<p>Kumar Kasaju Shrestha, president of FAN, said that the flowers were imported for Tihar as the required quantity could not be produced within the country.</p>

<p>&ldquo;Last year, only 200,000 garlands were imported. However, the import has increased this year as the demand for marigold garland is high,&rdquo; he said.</p>

<p>FAN informed that despite the increase in import, the price is cheap this year. Last year, around &nbsp;200,000 garlands worth Rs 15 million had been imported from India.</p>

<p>Nepal imports flowers from India during other times of the year as well. Different flowers and garlands worth Rs 100 million are imported from India annually, according to Shrestha.</p>

<p>The inability to produce flowers in Nepal as per the demand is the reason why Nepal imports flowers of such huge quantity every year. &ldquo;Local floriculturists produce flowers all the year round,&rdquo; Shrestha told New Business Age, adding, &ldquo;But the consumption is very less in other times except during festivals like Tihar.&rdquo;</p>

<p>Fearing loss during off-season, they produce less quantity of flowers. He said very few garlands are consumed in normal days.</p>

<p>The demand for flowers has gone up by 36.36 percent in comparison to last year, FAN stated.</p>

<p>There is a demand for 100,000 pieces of chrysanthemum, 300,000 globe amaranth and 1.1 million marigold in the market for Tihar festival. According to FAN, though the country is self-sufficient in chrysanthemum and globe amaranth flowers, marigold has to be imported from India. &nbsp;</p>

<p>The central bank dismissed rumours that all the amount of the bank was stolen and said that there are chances of retrieving the money.</p>

<p>Rajendra Pandit, deputy spokesperson at NRB, said that the recent transactions of NIC Asia Bank with six banks of different countries were unauthorized and the subject matter is being studied.&nbsp;</p>

<p>NRB also dismissed rumours that six other banks of Nepal are facing the problem in their SWIFT system.</p>

<p>&ldquo;In course of investigation, we held consultations with heads of the information departments of all the banks and gave suggestions to them to further bolster their security,&rdquo; Pandit told New Business Age, adding, &ldquo;The problem has been detected in NIC Asia only and the reasons behind it are still unconfirmed.&rdquo;</p>

<p>The NRB said it will be clear whether the SWIFT system was hacked or there was some malfunction in the system only after the investigation.</p>

<p>A team led by NRB Governor Dr Chiranjivi Nepal &nbsp;consisting of deputy governors discussed the subject with SWIFT country chief for Nepal on Monday, October 23.</p>

<p>Experts downplayed the issue saying that the problem was detected only in some transactions and not in the whole system. Pandit said that the situation is not that bad as there are chances that the money transferred can be retrieved. &ldquo;This is a problem seen in the system and even if someone has hacked it, the amount will still be in the bank. So, the probability of retrieving the money is still there,&rdquo; he added.</p>

<p>Gyanendra Prasad Dhungana, vice president of Nepal Bankers&rsquo; Association (NBA,) asked all the bankers to be aware about such problems.</p>

<p>&ldquo;The chance of SWIFT system to be hacked is very less so someone with bad intentions must have done the deed,&rdquo; he further added, &ldquo;We have received information that the stolen money has started to be retrieved.&rdquo;</p>

<p>NIC Asia stated that though the company had suspected its transactions being hacked, the truth is yet to be unfolded. NIC Asia has requested NRB to investigate &nbsp;the transactions with six banks through Financial Information Unit (FIU).</p>

A joint bench of justices Om Prakash Mishra and Dambar Bahadur Shahi issued the stay order on Sunday, October 22 until the court gives the final verdict on the issue.</p>

<p>Shrestha had sold 20 percent of Ncell shares to Bhavana Shrestha. Shrestha claimed that he had made a profit of Rs 11.32 billion from the sale and had paid Rs 2.83 billion as tax.</p>

<p>However, the Auditor General&rsquo;s Office had said that there was discrepancy in the payment of tax by Shrestha as compared to the tax of the remaining 80 percent of Ncell shares and had demanded an additional Rs 6.15 billion as tax.</p>

<p>As per the claims made by the Auditor General&rsquo;s Office, the Large Taxpayers&rsquo; Office had initiated the process to collect tax from Shrestha. The office had sent a letter to Shrestha in the first week of September regarding this issue.</p>

<p>Upon receiving the letter, Shrestha filed a writ petition at the Supreme Court arguing that he had already paid his taxes and was not liable to pay anymore amount.</p>

<p>Lawyers representing Shrestha argued that the Large Taxpayers&rsquo; Office has been bothering their client even after he had already cleared the tax.</p>

<p>In April-May 2016, Swedish company Telia Sonera had sold 80 percent of Ncell&rsquo;s shares to Malaysian company Axiata for Rs 144 billion. At that time, the capital gains tax from 80 percent of shares of Ncell was said to be Rs 61 billion. Shrestha had also sold 20 percent of his shares at the same time.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Locals of six wards of Paiyu Rural Municipality had been at the receiving end because of the unavailability of banks in their areas. &ldquo;To receive an amount of Rs 20,000, we had to spend Rs 8,000 to Rs 10,000 while travelling to and from Kusma,&rdquo; she told New Business Age, adding, &ldquo;Now that the banks have opened in our area, it has become easier for us.&rdquo;</p>

<p>It is hard for people who have children and who work at home to travel long distance. It has become easier for home makers now.</p>

<p>Banks operating in the area have been providing services like business loan, payment of project money and salary of government officials. Huwas is known as the third largest business hub of Parbat. Local traders say it has become easier for them after the banks have started giving out loans to business entrepreneurs.&nbsp; &nbsp;</p>

<p>&ldquo;We can now get loan for business and also save our money in banks,&rdquo; said Humnath Kafle, a local business entrepreneur.</p>

<p>According to Subash Thapa, manager of Gandaki Bank&rsquo;s, Huwas branch, 10 to 30 people come for remittance on a daily basis. He said people who used to suffer because of unavailability of banking services are happy after getting the service in their areas.</p>

<p>Khagendra Prasad Tiwari, chairman of Paiyu Rural Municipality said that the Consumers&rsquo; Committee does not have to go to the district headquarters for payment of small projects anymore.</p>

<p>&ldquo;Though there is a rule that states that there should be a bank in every rural municipality, we have three banks in our rural municipality. It has become much more convenient for us now,&rdquo; he said.</p>

<p>Kumar Kasaju Shrestha, president of FAN, said that the flowers were imported for Tihar as the required quantity could not be produced within the country.</p>

<p>&ldquo;Last year, only 200,000 garlands were imported. However, the import has increased this year as the demand for marigold garland is high,&rdquo; he said.</p>

<p>FAN informed that despite the increase in import, the price is cheap this year. Last year, around &nbsp;200,000 garlands worth Rs 15 million had been imported from India.</p>

<p>Nepal imports flowers from India during other times of the year as well. Different flowers and garlands worth Rs 100 million are imported from India annually, according to Shrestha.</p>

<p>The inability to produce flowers in Nepal as per the demand is the reason why Nepal imports flowers of such huge quantity every year. &ldquo;Local floriculturists produce flowers all the year round,&rdquo; Shrestha told New Business Age, adding, &ldquo;But the consumption is very less in other times except during festivals like Tihar.&rdquo;</p>

<p>Fearing loss during off-season, they produce less quantity of flowers. He said very few garlands are consumed in normal days.</p>

<p>The demand for flowers has gone up by 36.36 percent in comparison to last year, FAN stated.</p>

<p>There is a demand for 100,000 pieces of chrysanthemum, 300,000 globe amaranth and 1.1 million marigold in the market for Tihar festival. According to FAN, though the country is self-sufficient in chrysanthemum and globe amaranth flowers, marigold has to be imported from India. &nbsp;</p>

			'content' => '<p>October 18: Bhaban Bhatta has been elected as the President of Non-Resident Nepali Association (NRN). Bhatta defeated his contestant Jamuna Ghale by a big margin in the election held during the 8<sup>th</sup> NRNA International General Assembly on Monday, October 16, to lead the association.</p>

<p>NRNA&rsquo;s election committee informed that Bhatta received 1197 votes while Ghale received 584 votes.</p>

<p>Kumar Prasad Panta and Kul Acharya were elected as vice presidents in the open category while Shapila Rajbhandari was elected vice president in the women&rsquo;s category. Likewise, Dr Badri KC was elected general secretary while Dambar Bahadur Chhetri and Janaki Gurung won the posts of secretary. Hikmat Bahadur Thapa is the new treasurer of NRNA and Somnath Sapkota is the deputy treasurer.</p>

<p>Meanwhile, Gauri Joshi was elected as the coordinator for American region, Kiran Bikram Thapa as the coordinator of Asia Pacific Region and Shiva Baruwal as the coordinator of Europe.</p>

<p>After winning the election, Bhatta said that he would work in collaboration with all sides to take NRNA to further height. Bhatta has served as a treasurer of NRNA for one term and as vice president for two terms.</p>

Created by leading global publisher Ink, the magazine redesign was launched on board Qatar Airways in January 2017, the airlines said in a statement.</p>

<p>Accrding to Qatar Airways, the Eddie &amp; Ozzie Awards has become one of the most comprehensive magazine media award programmes, with hundreds of highly-competitive entries each year celebrating outstanding editorial and design content in both print and digital platforms.</p>

<p>I am delighted that the new design of Oryx magazine has been recognised at the Eddie &amp; Ozzie awards,&rdquo; the statement quoted Qatar Airways Group Chief Executive Akbar Al Baker as saying.</p>

<p>&ldquo;We are committed to constantly renewing and refreshing our on-board entertainment for our passengers, and delivering an enhanced magazine product that is full of relevant information and content is integral to that strategy. The feedback we have received from our passengers since the redesign of Oryx magazine in January 2017 has been incredibly positive, and winning this award confirms that the publishing industry also recognises this great achievement,&rdquo; he added.</p>
