<p style="text-align: justify;">With the confirmation, construction possibility of Arun III has increased which was &nbsp;lingering since nearly two decades. The project is being constructed by Central Government of India along with Satluj Jal Vidhyut Nigam (SJVN) partially owned by government of Himanchal Pradesh.&nbsp; Nepal Investment Board and SJVN already concluded Project Development Agreement (PDA) regarding the construction of the HEP.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">RN Mishra, Chairman and Managing Director of SJVN express his happiness on approval of the long waited budget for the HEP. The electricity produced from Arun III HEP will mostly be sent to India and the developer will be benefited for 25 years from the HEP. In the course, Nepal will get 1/5 of electricity produced from the HEP free and will received nearly Rs 350 billion as royalty and various other charges.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">SJVN has nearly finished the compensation distribution task to HEP affected locals. Till date, it has spent nearly Rs 1.25 billion on compensation distribution. It is rumoured that the company spent excessive money under valuation and other topics for the locals.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;"><u>Gains and losses of Nepal</u></p>

	<li style="text-align: justify;">Nepal must provide bulk Rs 4.50 billion as of Rs 500,000 per MW to the HEP after the conclusion of construction.</li>
	<li style="text-align: justify;">The company, after commencing production, is entitled of 100 per cent tax exemption for 10 years and of 50 per cent for following 5 years from Nepal.</li>
	<li style="text-align: justify;">50 per cent discount on custom charge in cements, rods and steel merchandise imported for the HEP.</li>
	<li style="text-align: justify;">Nepal government must compensate the company if the government halts any approval, change in legal policies and strikes for more than 21 days caused by general strikes, constrictions and state of emergency.&nbsp;</li>

As per Pokharel, the campaign will provide financial services to people of rural areas and group of people deprived from banking services. For this, IME will partner will mobile network operator, remittance agents, commercial banks, agents of branchless banking and merchants to provide the financial services. He said, &quot;The campaign which purposed to provide mobile based financial services will operate after getting approval from Nepal Rastra Bank. The customers having access to internet can use this service by downloading the application otherwise they can use NTC data service to do financial transactions.&quot;</p>

The big industrial projects were in problem due to the abnormal increase in interest rate of loans caused by lack of liquidity in banking system since last few months. Moreover, credit to core capital-cum-deposit (CCD) ratio of few banks have exceeded NRB limit due to excess investment in unproductive ratio.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">On the backdrop of crisis of investable capital and the problems caused by liquidity crisis on bankers and industrial sector, the affected sectors had demanded amendment on monetary policy. NRB, that was reluctant of amendment initially, came up with certain flexible monetary policy tools after studying the problems.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">The new mechanism provides some degree of relief to banks and industrial sector, however, it has tighten the trade. Citing that the banks have extended excessive loan to unproductive sector, the bank has declined the limit of overdraft loan to minimise the trend. According to NRB, it formed the new mechanism to obstruct the possible contraction in economical activities due to the adverse effect on industrial sector which is the backbone of the economy.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">NRB, through publishing the mid-yearly monetary policy on February 21, set the limit of overdraft and revolving natured personal loan facility to Rs 7.5 million from Rs 10 million. Earlier, banks and financial institutions (BFIs) were extending loan up to Rs 10 million to one person. The central bank has directed to implement the decision within the end of current FY.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">Moreover, the published monetary policy has adopted a policy to discourage loan extension in unproductive sector. The bank in order to discourage loan extension in unproductive sector reduced the limit of OD loan. Moreover, the bank has also reduced the loan limit of auto loan. As per the newly published monetary policy, BFIs can now grant loan up to 50 per cent of total value of the auto.&nbsp; Earlier, BFIs were providing auto loan up to 90 per cent of the total value.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">Similarly, the monetary policy has extended the time for TR loan under which BFIs can provide loans on bills, discounting and other similar natured loans for maximum of 150 days.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">Likewise, the mid-term monetary policy has given extra time to BFIs to implement loans to deprived community. The bank has extended the time limit to extend 2 per cent deprived community loan by the end of FY 2074/75.</p>

The company earned Rs 261.6 million net profit by mid-January which is 93.4 per cent more than the corresponding period of the last FY. Likewise, Shikhar Insurance increased its net profit by 78.1 per cent to Rs 180.1 million. Meanwhile, Oriental insurance logged decline in its net profit by 27.3 per cent to Rs 71.3 million.</p>

During the period, Nepal exported Rs 2.851 billion worth of merchandise and imported Rs 2.21 billion worth of merchandise.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">Similarly, America is another country with which Nepal has surplus international trade. In the FY 2072/73, Nepal earned Rs 637.7 million profit from the trade with America. During the period, Nepal imported Rs 9.34 billion worth of merchandise and exported Rs 8.70 billion worth of merchandise to America. Nepal has least trade surplus with Western Sahara of Rs 8000, according to the statistics. During the period, Nepal exported merchandise of Rs 8000 and no goods were imported from the country.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">Nepal recorded foreign trade surplus with countries including Britain, America, Norway, Afghanistan and Iran. Apart from these, Nepal has surplus trade balance with Venezuela, Nigeria, Mali, Portugal, Monaco, Laos, Congo, Tokelau Panama, Rwanda, Guadeloupe, Sudan, Mongolia, Uganda, Libya and Syria. As per the TEPC, Nepal specifically exported cotton, readymade garments, handicrafts, leather product, coffee and dairy products to these countries.&nbsp;</p>

In the course, Nepal will get 1/5 of electricity produced from the HEP free and will received nearly Rs 350 billion as royalty and various other charges.</p>

The big industrial projects were in problem due to the abnormal increase in interest rate of loans caused by lack of liquidity in banking system since last few months. Moreover, credit to core capital-cum-deposit (CCD) ratio of few banks have exceeded NRB limit due to excess investment in unproductive ratio.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">On the backdrop of crisis of investable capital and the problems caused by liquidity crisis on bankers and industrial sector, the affected sectors had demanded amendment on monetary policy. NRB, that was reluctant of amendment initially, came up with certain flexible monetary policy tools after studying the problems.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">The new mechanism provides some degree of relief to banks and industrial sector, however, it has tighten the trade. Citing that the banks have extended excessive loan to unproductive sector, the bank has declined the limit of overdraft loan to minimise the trend. According to NRB, it formed the new mechanism to obstruct the possible contraction in economical activities due to the adverse effect on industrial sector which is the backbone of the economy.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">NRB, through publishing the mid-yearly monetary policy on February 21, set the limit of overdraft and revolving natured personal loan facility to Rs 7.5 million from Rs 10 million. Earlier, banks and financial institutions (BFIs) were extending loan up to Rs 10 million to one person. The central bank has directed to implement the decision within the end of current FY.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">Moreover, the published monetary policy has adopted a policy to discourage loan extension in unproductive sector. The bank in order to discourage loan extension in unproductive sector reduced the limit of OD loan. Moreover, the bank has also reduced the loan limit of auto loan. As per the newly published monetary policy, BFIs can now grant loan up to 50 per cent of total value of the auto.&nbsp; Earlier, BFIs were providing auto loan up to 90 per cent of the total value.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">Similarly, the monetary policy has extended the time for TR loan under which BFIs can provide loans on bills, discounting and other similar natured loans for maximum of 150 days.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">Likewise, the mid-term monetary policy has given extra time to BFIs to implement loans to deprived community. The bank has extended the time limit to extend 2 per cent deprived community loan by the end of FY 2074/75.</p>

The company earned Rs 261.6 million net profit by mid-January which is 93.4 per cent more than the corresponding period of the last FY. Likewise, Shikhar Insurance increased its net profit by 78.1 per cent to Rs 180.1 million. Meanwhile, Oriental insurance logged decline in its net profit by 27.3 per cent to Rs 71.3 million.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">Similarly, America is another country with which Nepal has surplus international trade. In the FY 2072/73, Nepal earned Rs 637.7 million profit from the trade with America. During the period, Nepal imported Rs 9.34 billion worth of merchandise and exported Rs 8.70 billion worth of merchandise to America. Nepal has least trade surplus with Western Sahara of Rs 8000, according to the statistics. During the period, Nepal exported merchandise of Rs 8000 and no goods were imported from the country.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">Nepal recorded foreign trade surplus with countries including Britain, America, Norway, Afghanistan and Iran. Apart from these, Nepal has surplus trade balance with Venezuela, Nigeria, Mali, Portugal, Monaco, Laos, Congo, Tokelau Panama, Rwanda, Guadeloupe, Sudan, Mongolia, Uganda, Libya and Syria. As per the TEPC, Nepal specifically exported cotton, readymade garments, handicrafts, leather product, coffee and dairy products to these countries.&nbsp;</p>

The electricity produced from Arun III HEP will mostly be sent to India and the developer will be benefited for 25 years from the HEP. The big industrial projects were in problem due to the abnormal increase in interest rate of loans caused by lack of liquidity in banking system since last few months. Moreover, credit to core capital-cum-deposit (CCD) ratio of few banks have exceeded NRB limit due to excess investment in unproductive ratio.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">On the backdrop of crisis of investable capital and the problems caused by liquidity crisis on bankers and industrial sector, the affected sectors had demanded amendment on monetary policy. NRB, that was reluctant of amendment initially, came up with certain flexible monetary policy tools after studying the problems.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">The new mechanism provides some degree of relief to banks and industrial sector, however, it has tighten the trade. Citing that the banks have extended excessive loan to unproductive sector, the bank has declined the limit of overdraft loan to minimise the trend. According to NRB, it formed the new mechanism to obstruct the possible contraction in economical activities due to the adverse effect on industrial sector which is the backbone of the economy.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">NRB, through publishing the mid-yearly monetary policy on February 21, set the limit of overdraft and revolving natured personal loan facility to Rs 7.5 million from Rs 10 million. Earlier, banks and financial institutions (BFIs) were extending loan up to Rs 10 million to one person. The central bank has directed to implement the decision within the end of current FY.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">Moreover, the published monetary policy has adopted a policy to discourage loan extension in unproductive sector. The bank in order to discourage loan extension in unproductive sector reduced the limit of OD loan. Moreover, the bank has also reduced the loan limit of auto loan. As per the newly published monetary policy, BFIs can now grant loan up to 50 per cent of total value of the auto.&nbsp; Earlier, BFIs were providing auto loan up to 90 per cent of the total value.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">Similarly, the monetary policy has extended the time for TR loan under which BFIs can provide loans on bills, discounting and other similar natured loans for maximum of 150 days.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">Likewise, the mid-term monetary policy has given extra time to BFIs to implement loans to deprived community. The bank has extended the time limit to extend 2 per cent deprived community loan by the end of FY 2074/75.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">As per the amount, Rastriya Beema Company is leading other companies. The company earned Rs 261.6 million net profit by mid-January which is 93.4 per cent more than the corresponding period of the last FY. Likewise, Shikhar Insurance increased its net profit by 78.1 per cent to Rs 180.1 million. Meanwhile, Oriental insurance logged decline in its net profit by 27.3 per cent to Rs 71.3 million.</p>

During the period, Nepal exported Rs 2.851 billion worth of merchandise and imported Rs 2.21 billion worth of merchandise.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">Similarly, America is another country with which Nepal has surplus international trade. In the FY 2072/73, Nepal earned Rs 637.7 million profit from the trade with America. During the period, Nepal imported Rs 9.34 billion worth of merchandise and exported Rs 8.70 billion worth of merchandise to America. Nepal has least trade surplus with Western Sahara of Rs 8000, according to the statistics. During the period, Nepal exported merchandise of Rs 8000 and no goods were imported from the country.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">Nepal recorded foreign trade surplus with countries including Britain, America, Norway, Afghanistan and Iran. Apart from these, Nepal has surplus trade balance with Venezuela, Nigeria, Mali, Portugal, Monaco, Laos, Congo, Tokelau Panama, Rwanda, Guadeloupe, Sudan, Mongolia, Uganda, Libya and Syria. As per the TEPC, Nepal specifically exported cotton, readymade garments, handicrafts, leather product, coffee and dairy products to these countries.&nbsp;</p>

The electricity produced from Arun III HEP will mostly be sent to India and the developer will be benefited for 25 years from the HEP. In the course, Nepal will get 1/5 of electricity produced from the HEP free and will received nearly Rs 350 billion as royalty and various other charges.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">SJVN has nearly finished the compensation distribution task to HEP affected locals. Till date, it has spent nearly Rs 1.25 billion on compensation distribution. 			'content' => '<p style="text-align: justify;">February 22: Nepal Rastra Bank has attempted to provide relief to the productive sector of the country through the amendment of monetary policy of the current FY. The big industrial projects were in problem due to the abnormal increase in interest rate of loans caused by lack of liquidity in banking system since last few months. Moreover, credit to core capital-cum-deposit (CCD) ratio of few banks have exceeded NRB limit due to excess investment in unproductive ratio.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">On the backdrop of crisis of investable capital and the problems caused by liquidity crisis on bankers and industrial sector, the affected sectors had demanded amendment on monetary policy. NRB, that was reluctant of amendment initially, came up with certain flexible monetary policy tools after studying the problems.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">The new mechanism provides some degree of relief to banks and industrial sector, however, it has tighten the trade. Citing that the banks have extended excessive loan to unproductive sector, the bank has declined the limit of overdraft loan to minimise the trend. According to NRB, it formed the new mechanism to obstruct the possible contraction in economical activities due to the adverse effect on industrial sector which is the backbone of the economy.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">NRB, through publishing the mid-yearly monetary policy on February 21, set the limit of overdraft and revolving natured personal loan facility to Rs 7.5 million from Rs 10 million. Earlier, banks and financial institutions (BFIs) were extending loan up to Rs 10 million to one person. The central bank has directed to implement the decision within the end of current FY.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">Moreover, the published monetary policy has adopted a policy to discourage loan extension in unproductive sector. The bank in order to discourage loan extension in unproductive sector reduced the limit of OD loan. Moreover, the bank has also reduced the loan limit of auto loan. As per the newly published monetary policy, BFIs can now grant loan up to 50 per cent of total value of the auto.&nbsp; Earlier, BFIs were providing auto loan up to 90 per cent of the total value.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">Similarly, the monetary policy has extended the time for TR loan under which BFIs can provide loans on bills, discounting and other similar natured loans for maximum of 150 days.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">Likewise, the mid-term monetary policy has given extra time to BFIs to implement loans to deprived community. The bank has extended the time limit to extend 2 per cent deprived community loan by the end of FY 2074/75.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">During the second quarter, the insurance company earning the maximum net profit is United Insurance. It raised its net profit by 228 per cent to Rs 39.2 million in the second quarter. Similarly, Lumbini, NB, Everest, Neco and Sagarmatha Insurance raised their profit by 172, 137, 126, 119 and 103 per cent respectively.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">As per the amount, Rastriya Beema Company is leading other companies. The company earned Rs 261.6 million net profit by mid-January which is 93.4 per cent more than the corresponding period of the last FY. Likewise, Shikhar Insurance increased its net profit by 78.1 per cent to Rs 180.1 million. Meanwhile, Oriental insurance logged decline in its net profit by 27.3 per cent to Rs 71.3 million.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">During the first six months of the current FY, the insurance companies has earned Rs 4.95 billion insurance premium.&nbsp;</p>

According to the statistics of Trade and Export Promotion Centre (TEPC), Nepal logged profit with a total of 48 countries in foreign trade during the last FY 2072/73.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">Nepal has deficit trade balance with more than 140 countries among 190 trade partner countries. Britain holds the first position with which Nepal has surplus international trade balance. According to the centre, Nepal earned Rs 641.1 million profit from the trade with Britain last FY. During the period, Nepal exported Rs 2.851 billion worth of merchandise and imported Rs 2.21 billion worth of merchandise.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">Similarly, America is another country with which Nepal has surplus international trade. In the FY 2072/73, Nepal earned Rs 637.7 million profit from the trade with America. During the period, Nepal imported Rs 9.34 billion worth of merchandise and exported Rs 8.70 billion worth of merchandise to America. Nepal has least trade surplus with Western Sahara of Rs 8000, according to the statistics. During the period, Nepal exported merchandise of Rs 8000 and no goods were imported from the country.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">Nepal recorded foreign trade surplus with countries including Britain, America, Norway, Afghanistan and Iran. Apart from these, Nepal has surplus trade balance with Venezuela, Nigeria, Mali, Portugal, Monaco, Laos, Congo, Tokelau Panama, Rwanda, Guadeloupe, Sudan, Mongolia, Uganda, Libya and Syria. As per the TEPC, Nepal specifically exported cotton, readymade garments, handicrafts, leather product, coffee and dairy products to these countries.&nbsp;</p>
